BarristerWeb take IQ test!
Nick Hartwell
BarristerWeb became the second InQuisita Law (IQL) set to switch to LEX earlier this month. Attracted by our long running advertising campaign and comments he'd heard from other users, Andrew Hutchins (Senior Clerk) investigated the benefits of the LEX Chambers Management application. He commented in particular that the general ease of use and the way in which Carter fees were handled demonstrated that the company behind the software had in-depth industry knowledge and understood what was required from a Chambers Management System.
Impressed by comments from existing LEX Chambers
"I'd seen LEX in several demonstrations and liked the software a lot, said Andrew. "I could see the benefits to Chambers, particularly from a marketing perspective and that's something that is important to my Chambers. When I spoke to existing LEX users I was impressed by what they had to say. I have known the team at Bar Squared for several years and know that they all have extensive experience in Barristers' Chambers and in chambers software. LEX was the obvious choice!
There's just no contest. It's really been a breath of fresh air
When Andrew was asked for his experience of the migration process he commented -
"Remarkable! I didn't even realise it'd happened. The whole process was fast, accurate and totally seamless. One minute we were using IQL and the next we were live on LEX with a fully operational system. Sam, my fees clerk was really pleased with the advanced fee chasing functionality - it will really improve our efficiency.
I would definitely recommend LEX. There's just no contest. On the few occasions I've needed to use the support line, the guys on the desk have been great! The questions we have asked have been answered immediately and the couple of small issues that we had on Go-Live were resolved extremely quickly. Its really been a breath of fresh air.
